MUTESCENE NOTE
Each MUTESCENE piece is made to be worn, noticed and kept. Thoughtful care will help preserve its surface, color and character over time.
Avoid direct contact with water, perfume, hairspray, cosmetics, alcohol, detergent and other chemicals. Put jewelry on only after perfume and cosmetics have fully dried.
Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping or washing your hands. Avoid impact, pulling, repeated friction and contact with hard surfaces.
Sculptural and delicate forms should be handled gently. Do not bend or adjust a piece unless its product page specifically describes it as adjustable.
After wearing, gently wipe the piece with a clean, dry and soft cloth to remove moisture, oils and surface residue.
Do not use abrasive polishing cloths, chemical jewelry cleaners, toothpaste or household cleaning products on plated jewelry, as these may damage or remove the finish.
Unless stated otherwise on the product page, plated pieces use a copper-alloy base with a gold-tone or silver-tone surface finish. Plated finishes naturally evolve with wear. The speed of this process depends on skin chemistry, climate, frequency of wear and exposure to moisture or chemicals.
Keep plated pieces dry, reduce repeated friction and clean only with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use silver-polishing cloths or chemical dips on plated surfaces.
Sterling silver may naturally oxidize and darken over time. This is a characteristic of the material rather than a manufacturing defect.
For unplated sterling silver, use a suitable silver-polishing cloth lightly when needed. If the piece also contains plating, pearls, stones or other decorative elements, avoid polishing those areas.
Pearls, shell and natural stones are delicate and may vary slightly in color, texture and shape. These variations are part of their natural character.
Keep them away from perfume, alcohol, acids, prolonged sunlight and sudden temperature changes. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not soak in water or use ultrasonic or chemical cleaners.
Store each piece separately in its original pouch or a sealed jewelry bag, in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.
Fasten chains before storing and keep individual pieces apart to reduce tangling, scratching and friction.
We recommend keeping the sealed bag included with your order for everyday storage.
